Description :

Freed to Lead is a 10-session discipleship course for Christians in leadership positions of any kind, or Christians who think they may become leaders in the future.

Contains notes, additional information, and guidance on running your own Freed to Lead Course or Retreat including detailed timings, how to run the Steps to Freedom for Leaders component and a precis of the teaching for each of the sessions.

The first half of the Course Leader's Guide contains the Freed To Lead Participant's Guide, whilst the second half contains all the additional information.

It can be run in weekly sessions or all in one go as a retreat. Participants will learn how to lead from their identity in Christ so that they are authentic and real and become the sort of people that others love to follow. They will learn how to avoid burnout, survive personal attacks, and use conflict positively.

Leadership is tough. Many leaders come to leadership from competence in a different field, or out of ambition, and fear that they cannot really lead and will be 'found out' one day. Many leaders are insecure, driven individuals constantly assessing how they are coming across, and where challenges may arise. Being grounded in Christ is the foundation for all true Christian leadership.

This identity-based leadership makes us less driven, reduces the risk of burnout, and enables us to survive personal attacks, use conflict positively and overcome other barriers to effective leadership. Once we operate from this secure base, centred and grounded in Christ, we become less vulnerable to threats to our status, we cease to have anything to hide (because we can afford to be vulnerable) and we are less likely to be blown off course by strong-willed people wanting to push their own agenda.
