The Global Proclamation Congress for Pastoral Trainers (GProCongress) held in Bangkok from 15-22 June 2016 provided the Media Ministry (MM) with a unique opportunity to 'bless the nations' through the provision of affordable resources that many would rarely, if at all, have access to. Comprising 1400 unique titles, over 80 cartons of books were shipped to Thailand from Singapore.

With 3000 delegates from 112 countries, the Congress was an unprecedented gathering of pastoral trainers and leaders passionately committed to raising up, equipping and decipling pastors. Around the theme “Healthy Pastors – Healthy Churches – Healthy Societies”, each pastoral training delegate has been challenged to commit to train and disciple 25 pastors a year over the next 4 years.

The delegates were delightfully surprised and most thankful for the scale and variety of titles that MM was able to make available. From their enthusiastic sharing of ministry needs and vision, it was clear that they were greatly encouraged by the potential of the resources to prosper their ministry and to touch lives for Christ. Amongst the stories were…

@ From Uganda, a pastor working in Prison ministry took some titles on communication skills, relationship building and conflict resolution. All designed to provide the inmates with Biblically sound principles to help them fit more responsibly and confidently into society upon their release.

@ From Kenya, a pastor who is passionate about strengthening marriages and families in his country, took a number of related titles including, most significantly, parental and family prayer.

@ A seminary teacher from Turkey who trains Persian pastors from Iran, simply crying out for sound Christian theological resources. The need for translation is not a barrier, but something he and his colleagues are most prepared to do as part of their teaching.

It was an inspiration and a privilege to have been able to meet with these and other delegates. Their stories provided an amazing opportunity to hear ‘first-hand’ accounts of how God is working in disparate countries and communities. In addition, it has stirred Media Ministry’s imagination on how we could further support overseas work.

An acknowledgement and word of sincere thanks must go to our supporters! Your contribution, support and prayers made it possible for us to bless servants from all over the world and to foster the development of our ‘biblio-ministry’.

Please pray that the Lord will continue to open ‘divine doors’ for MM as we serve globally. Pray for discernment and wisdom in determining whom to serve with, the most efficient distribution models to make the needful resources available, and for local churches and individuals to prayerfully consider nations, communities and ministries that you can bless through serving with us.
