Family breakups are devastating to those making the decision to terminate the marriage & to the children & others in the extended family. Firings and layoffs from careers and jobs are as much the fault of politics, economic downturns, poor management, as of incompetency or negligence. Personal worlds are broken when health fails, accidents happen. We discover that broken worlds do not just happen to someone else; they CAN happen to us.

A broken down world is much like a broken down house. Sins damage and break down every single room. The brokenness around us affects us in different ways at different times. We all struggle with physical, emotional, spiritual, relational brokenness every day. Sometimes, you deal with personal hurt. Sometimes, you grow angry. Sometimes, you are overwhelmed. Sometimes, you get tired and just want to quit.

Are the discouraged and brokenhearted actually the people who are closest to discovering joy and power in the Lord? Is great weakness the essential ingredient to discovering great strength? Is this a wonderful gift that the Lord is holding out to every nation, every church and every individual? — Stronger: Trading Brokenness for Unbreakable Strength
