What would my life be like if I lived this way? Who will keep Jesus's commandment, the mandate to love, and who will be the answer to Christ's prayers? Who will love as He loved and live out the good, the beautiful, the kind?

Love is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Fruits grow slowly with nurture, nourishment, the right elements. They are grown over time. The gifts of the Spirit are given generously and quickly, not so with the fruits of the Spirit. They are virtues, character qualities that are produced in our lives as a result of the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.

Love, including joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control reflect the character of God and are cultivated over time as we grow in our relationship with Him. Nurture and cultivate our fruits as we grow to love and flourish our ties.
